As a fourth-generation, Wyoming, dry land wheat farmer, I was raised to believe that the “amber waves of grain’, that America The Beautiful speaks of is a direct reference to Goshen County. Over 100 years ago, my great grandparents homesteaded the land that my sisters and I own. Whether it was operating equipment, cleaning bins, or tossing bales we were raised to work, and respect the land. My sisters and I still raise wheat, and dry land sunflowers. We are directly involved in the day-to-day operations, and the marketing of our product. Additionally, I am a small business owner. I work daily to promote our community, and to showcase the wonderful way of life we have in Goshen County. I am a lifelong Republican that believes in small, and responsible government.
As the largest ag producer in the state, Goshen County needs a Representative that has an agriculture background and understands the needs of the community. I am also committed to finding ways to encourage Wyoming's standing as a leader in coal extraction. Keeping mines open and retaining jobs, finding innovative technology that will enhance and create jobs in the fossil fuel sector should be a high priority for the Wyoming Legislature. Without our legacy industries Wyoming suffers. It is of the utmost importance to have strong representation and leadership in the House to continue to fight for Goshen County, and the State of Wyoming
I love our state and our community. I will fiercely protect and promote both.
Campaigning is always better with friends. Join us on the trail, in parades and at meet and greets. Let me know if you want a yard sign or can tag along while I go door to door.
Growing up in Goshen county, my sisters and I were taught you don't just exist in the place where you live, but it is your duty to participate. My parents (Jack and Hanna Van Mark, both Goshen County Homestead kids) loved working at the Republican booth at the fair handing out ice water and Popcorn while talking politics. The photo above is my Dad at his last Goshen County Fair sitting in the GOP Fair Booth. Our parents taught us to listen, understand the process, get the facts and protect and defend the US Constitution and Wyoming. I believe Wyoming's core industries must be protected and that includes Goshen County Agriculture.
I have and am involved with many organizations in Goshen County, including currently serving as a Trustee for Eastern Wyoming College and I sit on the Goshen Ecconomic Development Board. I previously was appointed to the Goshen County Nursing Home Joint Powers board and proudly worked on the build for Evergreen Plaza. That fantastic project leveraged Wyoming Business Council funds to build and keep our elderly in the community, and that brought jobs to the county.
